Avengers: Endgame Trailer Reportedly Showed Two Different Versions Of Steve Rogers

The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame only gave us a brief glimpse at the survivors dealing with the aftermath of Thanos' snap. But is it possible that we actually saw two different versions of Steve Rogers in the teaser?

The theory was posted on Reddit points out that the crying Steve might not be the present-day Captain America. According to the post, it looks like Steve from 2012's Avengers.

"If you pause the teaser video at 1:12 and you will see a crying Steve Rogers but pay a little attention and you will realize that his haircut is similar to 2012's Cap, not only that but the leather jacket he is wearing matches with the one he wore in The Avengers (2012) ending scene while he is riding on the bike and smiles," the post read.

The jacket sure looks familiar and the scene seems to show Steve back at the Avengers Headquarters. However, the post once again points out that 2012 Steve might not actually be at the HQ in the Endgame scene.

"It does look like Avengers Compound but actually its not, the trailer is edited in such a way to fool us, while cap's mourning here for Bucky make sense, we can't trust Marvel with trailers, that scene could be actually the aftermath of Endgame where everyone has fought and won but Steve is still crying for his loss, so its an ending scene of Endgame and Cap we see here is in 2012 timeline somewhere in park," the post stated.

Most of the Marvel Studios trailers have previously suggested certain scenes in the film. For instance, the Thor: Ragnarok trailer featured Hela destroying Mjolnir in what looks like a dark alleyway whereas the scene actually took place in an open field in Norway in the film.

So is it possible that we're going to see two different versions of Captain America in Endgame? This is still based on speculations so it's best to take the information with a grain of salt.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
