Marvel fans were devastated when work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was put to a halt thanks to the loss of the film's director James Gunn. The filmmaker was fired by Disney after an alt-right extremist decided to start a smear campaign by digging up 14-year-old inappropriate and offensive tweets that Gunn had previously apologized for. The entire affair caused quite a ruckus online and GOTG 3 was left in the sidelines.
However, now that Marvel is working on Avengers: Endgame's reshoots, it looks like Marvel might be planning its next move for the third and final Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana just recently posted a video of the meticulous process of taking off her make-up for Avengers: Endgame, and while the post barely gave away any spoilers, her caption did tease Gamorra's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, probably in GOTG 3.

While it might be difficult to imagine Gamora making her way back to the MCU after her frightful death in Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of the Avengers are working hard on undoing the deaths that Thanos made in Endgame. Hopefully, Gamora is one of those that return in the film because Guardians of the Galaxy wouldn't be the same without her.
Right now, there's still no official word on when production for GOTG 3 will begin, but we're hoping that Marvel will make a few announcements soon.
