Avengers: Endgame Might Feature Surprise Agent Phil Coulson Cameo

There is hope that people who were killed in Avengers: Infinity War will be resurrected in Avengers: Endgame. But what are the chances that the characters who have left the films for TV will return for a surprise cameo? Clark Gregg has teased on Agent Phil Coulson possibly coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe this April.

We all know that Coulson's death was one of the biggest shockers in the first Avengers film. Luckily, he has since been resurrected and headlined the ABC series Agents of SHIELD. So is it possible that Coulson might actually show up and support the survivors in Endgame? Gregg told TV Guide it could happen when we least expect it.

"In the world of Marvel anything's possible," Gregg stated.

It's a vague response yet fans are hoping that Coulson might play a small yet pivotal role in Endgame. It would be nice to see him interacting with the heroes all over again, and we'd be interested to see how Tony Stark reacts to seeing Coulson this April. However, this is still unconfirmed so we recommend taking it with a grain of salt.

Gregg did point out that we will be seeing Coulson on the big screen much sooner this year. "I know that you will see a young, fresh-looking Phil Coulson in Captain Marvel," he said. "You'll see an astonishingly young-looking me."

Captain Marvel is believed to feature the first time Coulson worked with Nick Fury as a SHIELD agent. Both Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson were de-aged to depict the characters' younger versions in the 1990s.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8. Avengers: Endgame will premiere on April 26.
