Avengers: Endgame Fan Theory Offers Intriguing Suggestion for Who Was Edited Out

Avengers: Endgame is two months or so away and fans are hyped up the wazoo for it, and who wouldn't be? This is the culmination of more than a decade's worth of Marvel films after all. The ending of Avengers: Infinity War left fans with a lot of questions and not enough answers, hence hundreds of fan theories flooding the internet over what could happen in Endgame.

Recently, fans noticed an odd scene in the Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl spot that had one big empty space, hinting that a character was edited out to hide spoilers. Marvel's done this before with Captain America: Civil War and fans have been wondering who exactly was edited out in this scene.

This fairly intriguing fan theory on Reddit suggests it's none other than Doctor Strange.

Fans have noticed how the Time Stone glowed green when he gave it to Thanos, hinting that he may have cast a spell on it that would help everyone out in the end. This theory suggests that Strange not only saw the 14 million futures but actually lived through them, so he knows which one will save the world. If true, it looks like Strange will be coming back somehow, despite turning to ash like half of the universe.

The theory also suggests that all that time travel talk in Ant-Man and The Wasp might have been a red herring, though it's worth noting that Scott Lang does indeed meet the Avengers. Maybe Strange helps him out? Perhaps the Sorcerer Supreme is aware of the Quantum Realm? Only time will tell.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
