Avengers: Endgame Doesn’t Have Time For Bathroom Breaks

It looks like Marvel fans are going to have to practice holding their pee in because the three-hour-long Avengers: Endgame doesn't have any intermissions for bathroom breaks.

Last month, word came out that the second entry in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie was going to run for more than three hours on the big screen.

However, while some fans have been hoping that the runtime would include an intermission for bathroom breaks, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has just confirmed that the film would have no downtime during its screening. Speaking in an interview with i09 during a press junket for Endgame, Feige reveals that there isn't ever a good time to run out and head to the bathroom while watching the film.

"What I've always said is a movie is as long as it should be. And we are not fans of overindulging movies. We are not fans of laborious lengths for no reason. We are fans of movies that you wish didn't end. Movies that you want to see again as soon as it's over," the Marvel producer explained, "And movies that you just don't ever find a good time to run out to the bathroom. That's when a movie's working. And if a movie doesn't feel like that to us we continue to trim, we continue to shape, we continue to bring that time down. That happened to a certain extent on this movie. But we got to a point where it feels very exciting and goes by very quickly and in the end is the perfect length."

Three hours is a lot of time, but fans are as excited as they can be. Before Endgame, the film's sequel, Avengers: Infinity War, held the record for the longest-running entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with its two-hour and forty-minute long runtime.

While some might reason that Endgame is only two minutes or so longer, fans ought to remember that a lot can happen in that time like the death of popular Marvel characters, or the ultimate success in the mission against the Mad Titan Thanos.

So buckle yourself up for the 3-hour long Endgame!
