Avengers: Endgame Directors on Whether or Not Gamora Was 'Snapped' Away Like Thanos

Avengers: Endgame was one hell of a finale for the current state of the MCU and if it planted seeds for any film, it was Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They showed Thor traveling with Star-Lord and crew as they decide to search for 2014 Gamora, who left without telling anyone. However, fans are wondering if Gamora could have been "snapped" from existence, much like Thanos and his whole army was in the finale.

When asked about this by Fox 5 DC, Avengers: Endgame Directors Anthony and Joe Russo gave an answer. It's not a great answer but they probably don't want to give false expectations for James Gunn's upcoming film.

"The argument could be that Tony wished away all the evil. Was she evil or just the enemy? Is she still alive? Who knows, that's a story for another time."

Not to sound snarky but the obvious answer is probably "Gamora's not dead because she turned on Thanos and the Guardians are searching for her," so the fact that they didn't say it is a bit frustrating. Once again, James Gunn might have a grand plan and doesn't want it spoiled but it's so obvious that Gamora isn't dead.

I mean 2014 Gamora. 2018 Gamora is dead. Like, super dead.

Avengers: Endgame was recently re-released in theaters and will be coming to Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital really soon.
