Avengers: Endgame Director On Whether Or Not Ant-Man Destroys Thanos Through His Anal Cavity

There's been a lot of wild Avengers: Endgame theories running around online, but there hasn't been one as risqué as the one that involves Ant-Man's (Paul Rudd) ability to change sizes and Thanos' (Josh Brolin) glorious behind. For the past few weeks, Marvel fans have been going crazy about the idea of Ant-Man turning tiny enough to enter the Mad Titan's anal cavity to destroy him from within with so many netizens creating so many memes and gifs centered around the brassy fan theory.

Now, as Endgame approaches its release date with ticket sales finally opening, director Anthony Russo has been asked to weigh in on the Mad Titan's anal destruction.

Speaking in an interview with Fandango as part of the official announcement regarding the beginning of Endgame's ticket sales, one half of the Russo Brother's directorial team was asked various things about the upcoming film. During the interview, the site decided to bring up the whole "Ant-Man vs. Thanos Butt" phenomenon, something which surprised the director.

"I haven't seen that one yet. Sorry, keep going," Russo told the interviewer.

Fandango continued by explaining the theory, asking whether or not the "Ant-Man vs. Thanos Butt" would ever be a plot twist that they'd consider for the film.
Russo was amused by the whole bit, and the director decided to take the idea head-on.

"I wish we had. Yeah, no, look, we love the fact that fans are out there really thinking very deeply about these characters, very deeply about these stories, thinking about all the places they could go, even of certain places," the director explained. "My brother and I have a real certain youth ourselves, so we get a big kick out of it. Look, we were fans long before we were filmmakers in the MCU, so we understand that point of view of participating in the narrative as a viewer and loving these characters and thinking about all the possibilities about where these characters can go, and really understanding their experiences and their journey. So yeah, the fact that the fans are enthusiastic about participating at that level is amazing. That's the best place to be."

Unfortunately, it sounds like the Russos didn't even really consider Thanos' anal cavity when they worked on Endgame, so it's highly unlikely that we'll get to see Ant-Man running around the Mad Titan's butthole. Sorry, everyone.

Avengers: Endgame is set to premiere on April 26, 2019.
