Avengers Endgame: Did they CGI-Out Captain America's 2012 Outfit in This Shot?

It's been years since we've seen Captain America and Iron Man together onscreen, but it looks like the two will be reunited in Avengers: Endgame. What's interesting is, some evidence has led others to believe that the Captain America that's talking to Tony in the trailers is actually Steve Rogers from 2012.

It's the scene in the trailers where Tony asks Cap, "Do you trust me?" to which Cap replies, "I do." Check out the set photo that could very well be from that scene—Cap is wearing the outfit from the first Avengers film:

While it's likely that some of the speculations is false, some people who claim to have experience in VFX say that the area around Captain America's neck is the giveaway. You can see that his collar in the original 2012 film is higher, so it's likely they changed it in the trailers to keep fans in the dark.

The exchange between Tony and Cap could be a hint as well. The two had been fighting together for years until the Civil War, so why would Tony now ask Cap if he trusts him? It's likely this is Tony from the future meeting 2012 Steve, and he's asking Cap if he believes everything that he's told them about the future, and he's asking Cap to trust him.

Either way, we don't have to wait too long before we can put all this speculation to rest. Tickets for Endgame are available now, and a lot of fans are expecting this film to absolutely break every box office record.
