Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene Reveals Doctor Strange Getting Help from Scarlet Witch

There is little doubt that Avengers: Endgame was all about the heroes working with each other although some of them barely got any screen time together. However, it looks like a deleted scene may have been a tease at what people could look forward to in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The sequence actually showed the Sorcerer Supreme getting some much-needed help from Scarlet Witch.

In Endgame, the final battle led to water flooding into the battlefield. Luckily, Stephen Strange was present and he uses his powers to hold it all back. This is already an awesome heroic sequence in itself but an image taken during filming revealed that Strange was supposed to get some help from Wanda Maximoff (via Imgur). Take a look at the photo below.

Deleted scene from Endgame of Wanda protecting Strange as he held back the water

This could have been an amazing scene considering that the two characters are set to appear together in The Multiverse of Madness. On the other hand, there's a possibility that the idea was scrapped to provide a sense of disconnect between Strange and Wanda when they finally work together in Doctor Strange 2.

For now, it is still unclear what exactly will happen in the second Doctor Strange film although there have been speculations that Scarlet Witch will be the villain in the movie. Some believe that Strange will be the one responsible for keeping her from unleashing evil into several different universes. However, this is only based on speculations so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will bring back Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen in their respective Marvel Cinematic Universe roles. The sequel is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021.
