Avengers: Endgame Co-Director Wants Noah Howley's Doctor Doom in the MCU

As we wait for Avengers: Endgame to make us cry and shout, Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors, have been doing a ton of PR since the trailer's reveal to hype it up. Since the news came out about Disney purchasing Fox, the directing duo has been very vocal about wanting to mix up the current MCU with characters from the Fantastic Four and X-Men, even stating that they want to do a Secret Wars movie.

Now, during an interview with Business Insider, Joe Russo revealed that he wanted Doctor Doom in the MCU, specifically the version Noah Hawley is working on. The Legion showrunner is giving the Fantastic Four villain a solo movie, though no release date has been given, and it's still a part of Fox so this could cause complications if Joe Russo were to have his way.

"I'd love to see Noah's interpretation of that character. Anything that Noah does."

Considering how well-received Howley's previous works have been, it's no wonder why Russo would want to see this interpretation of the character in the MCU. Legion is one of the more acclaimed comic book shows out right now and Fargo was a smash hit for a mini-series. We'll still have to wait for more Doctor Doom info but it would be awesome if this version of the character were in the MCU.

Despite debuting as a Fantastic Four villain, Doom has essentially become an antagonist for pretty much any character in the Marvel universe. Whether it be The Avengers, Spider-Man, Luke Cage, or even Squirrel Girl, Doom will find a way to terrorize them. He's even one of the leads in Secret Wars, which might be why The Russos want him in the MCU.

No release date for the Doctor Doom movie has been revealed. Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26, 2019.
