Avengers 4 Will Bring Back Another Dead Character Other Than Crossbones

We already know that Frank Grillo will reprise his role as Brock Rumlow in Avengers 4. However, it looks like Crossbones isn't the only dead character who will be returning in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Spoilers Ahead! You Have Been Warned!

The revelation was made by Avengers 4 executive producer Michael Grillo at the recent Austin Film Festival (via Super Bro Movies). Grillo was in attendance along with the movie's screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Interestingly, the executive producer stated that filming and preparing for the MCU flick was difficult because most actors had limited availability.

Grillo went on to share that one busy actor could only work for one day. "When we got Tilda Swinton, she was just a one-day availability," he revealed.

This is certainly surprising since Swinton's Ancient One was killed off in Doctor Strange. However, the character's return could be an interesting one. Does this mean that the deceased mystic will be resurrected? There is a possibility that Swinton will appear in a brief flashback similar to Crossbones. However, it would be cool if she played a slightly larger role in the film.

There have been speculations that the Ancient One was one of the few characters who could show the Avengers: Infinity War survivors how they could defeat Thanos. It's possible that she will appear in a key sequence detailing how the sorcerors once came across the Time Stone in Avengers 4.

We're not sure how the Ancient One will fit into the film's storyline. Nevertheless, it is good to know that Swinton will be back next year.

Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
