Avengers 4 Star Chris Evans Wraps Filming With Emotional Message For Fans

Marvel Studios

Captain America actor Chris Evans took it to Twitter today to announce that he has just wrapped filming on Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers 4. Some fans might think that his Captain America role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be done after this sequel but he might just be playing with our expectations.

"Officially wrapped on Avengers 4," Evans said. "It was an emotional day Evans to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."

That sounds like a big farewell to fans. His emotional words and the fact that he mentioned his eight years playing the role of Captain America could mean that this is the end for his MCU role. Maybe Evans just wants to thank his fans in a major way. After all, the fourth and untitled Avengers film will mark the end of an epic chapter.
