As of writing, Toph Beifong does not appear in Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series.
The beloved, notoriously tough earth-bender isn't listed among the cast members, nor has she appeared in any of the series' trailers.
Why Isn't Toph in the Avatar Live Action? Will She Appear in the Netflix Series?
Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender live action is endeavoring to be more accurate than the 2010 movie (at least on a surface level regarding character race and appearance), so we don't think Toph is cast out.
The simplest possible reason for Toph's absence from the first season is that she doesn't appear in the animated show's first season either.
Season 1 of the Avatar live action focuses on Book 1 and unfolds largely in the Water Kingdom.
It isn't until Book 2 that Aang, Katara, and Shoka go to the Earth Kingdom where Toph joins them in their adventure.

As of writing, Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender live action has not been officially renewed for a second season.
This is often the case with new Netflix shows, as a possible renewal depends on views and the audience's reaction.
However, if the series continues with season 2, we see no reason Toph wouldn't be cast then.
After all, she becomes a main character soon after her introduction, joining the main trio for the entirety of their journey.
Toph's exclusion from the Avatar live action would only alienate fans, so her appearance in a potential second season is almost certain, though we don't know yet who would portray her.
The earthbender did not get cast in the Avatar live-action movie either, but given the negative reviews for that one, fans do not consider it a major loss.
