Netflix has another live adaptation coming up this February 22, 2024, and that is Avatar: The Last Airbender premiering its first season on the streamer. But before watching the live-action series, check out who stars in the Netflix live adaptation below:

Gordon Cormier as Aang

Aang may have been declared the last living Avatar (and the last of the Air Nomads), but he's still evidently a kid at heart.

Played by Gordon Cormier, the 12-year-old Airbender has yet to find his ground in controlling his air-bending alongside mastering the three other elements, namely, water, earth, and fire.

After being found a century later, Aang has to proceed with his training in mastering all four elements to defeat the Fire Lord Ozai from wreaking havoc and destroying the world.

Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara

Known for playing Ka'kwet in Anne With an E, Kiawentiio Tarbell will now be debuting in a much bigger role and platform by depicting the live-action water-bending Katara in the Avatar series.

On a journey from the Southern Water Tribe, Katara and her brother, Sokka, accidentally stumbled upon Aang imprisoned within a large block of ice, which led to their newfound friendship to help the Avatar save the world.

In the animated series, Aang ends up marrying Katara, however, it remains to be seen if Netflix plans on depicting the same ending, too.

Ian Ousley as Sokka

Ian Ousley, who previously played roles in 13 Reasons Why and Young Sheldon, will be the live adaptation of Sokka, aka Katara's older brother.

The 16-year-old takes his role of being the leader of the Southern Water Tribe very seriously. He's there to protect his sister and tends to be quite skeptical about helping strangers, including Aang.

Dallas James Liu as Prince Zuko

The 17-year-old Crown Prince of the Fire Nation Prince Zuko will be played by Dallas James Liu, who previously played a part in the MCU film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as Ruihua Chen.

Liu made his acting debut as young Jin Kazama in Tekken and will now step onto a bigger plate by depicting the live-action of the hot-headed Zuko.

Prominently known for having a burn mark on his left eye, Avatar: The Last Airbender will portray his shortcomings as Prince and eventually develop into becoming Aang's comrade in the endgame of the series.

Known for playing roles in Lost and Hawaii Five-0, Daniel Dae Kim rises to become the main antagonist in Netflix's live-action series as the Fire Lord Ozai.

As Prince Zuko's father, he was the epitome of a power-hungry ruler who seeks world domination. He was responsible for hunting down every single Air Nomad, wiping their clan, unbeknownst to him that he left one alive (Aang).

Paul Sun-Hyung, prominently known as Appa in Kim's Convenience and playing Captain Carson in Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, is none other than Prince Zuko's Uncle Iron in the Netflix series.

As the wise and nurturing father figure Zuko grew up with, Iroh became a crucial firebender of a mentor to his young nephew and ensured that Zuko never lost his way on his life's journey.

Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula

Prince Zuko's fire-bending prodigy of a sister, Princess Azula, is played by Elizabeth Yu (Somewhere in Queens). While her brother was off in exile, the Princess stopped at nothing to get her claim to the throne as one of the next heirs to the Fire Nation.

Maria Zhang is Suki, aka the leader of an all-female fighter called the Kyoshi Warriors based on Kyoshi Island.

Once Aang and his friends discover these warrior women on their journey to master all elements, Suki ends up forming a romantic relationship with Sokka at one point.
