The Avatar sequels may be far off from hitting theaters, but the hype for the movie is building up steadily and slowly. Just in, we have new images for a mech that will be introduced in the next film called The Crabsuit.

Check it out:

With the first movie has given us the Amplified Mobility Platform/AMP suit, this looks like a natural progression. As you can see, the mech still has legs and arms that can function on land, and it looks like they all fold into the ‘body' when the mech submerges.

I have to say, though Avatar was basically just Pocahontas in space, James Cameron really built an expansive and solid world. Besides the beauty of Pandora and its creatures, we also got the cool mech concepts that humans were using. Hopefully, we get more of that when it comes to the sequel.

For now, we can only really piece together what the Avatar sequel is going to be about. We know that it's going to be focusing on the children of Jake and Neytiri this time, and after the exploration of the air in the first film, we'll now be delving deep into the waters of Pandora. I don't know about you, but I would definitely love to see some underwater leviathans and giant sea creatures a la Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

The first sequel to Avatar is set to come out on Dec. 16, 2022.
