Aubrey Plaza Gets Terrorized By Chucky In First Child's Play Trailer

The first trailer for the Child's Play reboot is finally here and it looks like Chucky is going high-tech this year. Unfortunately, this also means that the homicidal doll has found new ways to terrorize Aubrey Plaza.

The trailer opens with an ad for Kaslan Corp, the company that produces awesome new products that can help make life easier. Interestingly, they have also created a new toy line called the Buddi Doll, which promises to be "your new best friend."

We get a glimpse of Plaza's Karen Barclay presenting her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) with his very own Buddi Doll. It doesn't take long before the toy somehow scans Andy and strange things start to happen around their home. For instance, something appears to be trying to get out of a toy box and we actually see the doll grab its own clothes. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there.

It escalates to a point where people are locked inside a toy store and a doll appears to be standing in front of a car. Andy starts to notice that "Chucky" isn't exactly a nice friend especially when he finds his bloody mother bound with a noose around her neck. Perhaps Chucky wants to play Hangman with them?

The film is directed by Lars Klevberg and also stars Atlanta actor Brian Tyree Henry as well as veteran actor Tim Matheson from National Lampoon's Animal House. The voice behind the murderous Chucky has not yet been revealed.

Child's Play is scheduled for release on June 21.
