Anime Expo 2023 is happening now in LA, and there have already been lots of big reveals at the event. One of these is Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 4, which got a new trailer that showed fans a peek at the grim events that are happening in the finale.
This new trailer was shown on the MAPPA x Crunchyroll panel yesterday, July 2.
While it’s fairly short, it does give fans a tantalizing taste of the final showdown between the remaining scouts and Eren.
Part 4 Is the True Finale of the Anime, For Real This Time
Since the first season’s release back in 2013, Attack on Titan has become one of the most popular anime series all over the world thanks to its compelling story, shocking twists, and memorable characters.
In December 2020, MAPPA released The Final Season, and while it was marketed as the last season of the anime, it turns out that the ending will take a few more years to release.
Despite being called The Final Season, the season has been split into multiple parts, with the first part having 16 episodes, which was followed up by Part 2 with 12 episodes.
That wasn’t the end though, as Part 3 was announced shortly after Part 2’s final episode.
But instead of being composed of multiple episodes, Part 3 was a one-hour special. And again, this wasn’t the end of the anime.
Finally, Part 4 will be released later this year, and it will feature the proper finale for the anime, for real this time.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 4 Trailer Gives Fans an Idea of What to Expect
At Anime Expo 2023, MAPPA released a new trailer to hype up The Final Season Part 4, complete with English subtitles.
While it may only feature a couple of snippets, it shows that the remaining scouts’ outlooks are grim as they face off against Eren in his Founding Titan form.

Though it’s confirmed that Part 4 will be the proper ending for the anime, it is expected to also be another hour-long special instead of being composed of multiple episodes.
Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 4 will be released sometime in Fall 2023.
For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date, though it’s confirmed that the special will be released on Crunchyroll in the US and other regions.
