Attack on Titan is far from over. It has just been confirmed that Attack on Titan Season 4 is getting another cour which is set to premiere in 2023!
The last episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 has just concluded with a teaser for what is being called The Final Part of the anime. In addition to the teaser, the official key visual for Part 3 has been dropped to confirm there will be more episodes coming next year.
This is a huge surprise for fans considering that there were speculations about a movie being developed to adapt the final chapters of Attack on Titan. Nevertheless, it is welcome news since this would mean each chapter will be given the spotlight it deserves next winter.
Attack on Titan Episode 87 was expected to be the last episode of the anime which was set to be followed by a full-length movie adapting Chapters 131 to 139. The film would have been a great option since it would mean the adaptation will arrive much sooner, with hopes that the movie will be dropped before the end of the year.
The last episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 was titled The Dawn of Humanity, the same title as the manga's Chapter 130. Episode 87 brought back Eren Yeager as he recalled the events that led up to the present day, giving fans an awesome glimpse at happier times for the characters. Still, the episode concluded by revealing Eren's modified Attack Titan as he marches behind the Wall Titans into Marley.
Attack on Titan Episode 88 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere in early 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
