AT&T Allegedly Wants Ben Affleck Back as Batman

DCEU fans were in for a treat when it was announced that we were going to get the release of Zack Snyder's original version of Justice League, and hype has once again gone up for the DCEU. Though Robert Pattinson is taking on the role, word has it that AT&T actually wants a certain actor back as the Caped Crusader.

According to The Cultured Nerd, AT&T and Warnermedia want Ben Affleck back as Batman. What's more, they want him to finish the script for his original solo Batman movie which was supposed to star Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke. We should take this with a grain of salt for now, but you can imagine a lot of people are happy at the thought that we get to see more Batfleck in the DCEU.

If you've followed the news, you'll know that Ben Affleck was going through a difficult time when he was shooting for his Batman, and the fiasco of what went down with Justice League ultimately soured him to working on the franchise, leading him to quit. With Snyder getting to publish his vision though, a lot of people are hopeful that Affleck will get that enthusiasm again, and maybe he can exist as Batman along with Pattinson's in the future.

Then again, this is all just wishful thinking at this point. I guess the only real way we can find out is when Zack Snyder's Justice League comes out on HBO Max. From that point, WB will likely gauge how feasible it is to continue with Snyder's original plans for the DCEU.

The next DCEU film, Wonder Woman 1984, is set to come out on Aug. 14.
