There's a lot of things that fans are looking forward to in Game of Thrones Season 8, like finding out who will rule Westeros or whether Daenerys Targaryen becomes pregnant with Jon Snow's child. But did anyone want to see how Arya Stark would react to seeing a real dragon? The new footage from the final season could reveal just that.
HBO has just dropped a new teaser showing snippets from the upcoming shows. Of course, Game of Thrones Season 8 is part of the video and it's all about the Unsullied, Drogon, and Arya Stark.
The brief footage shows the Unsullied marching into the North with Drogon soaring above them. Although other people are cowering in fear (because that is, after all, a gigantic man-eating dragon), Arya looks up first in surprise then smiles in wonder. We'd probably all have the same reaction if we were there.
Drogon's arrival in Winterfell is something that we can all expect in the final season. We've already seen Sansa Stark welcoming Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow in the first teaser so it makes sense that the Mother of Dragons is bringing her children to the North. It's only fitting that Arya should be the one to somehow welcome Drogon to her home.
The HBO teaser also offered a glimpse at the upcoming His Dark Materials series starring Logan actress Dafne Keen, X-Men: Dark Phoenix's James McAvoy, and Ruth Wilson of I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.
Game of Thrones Season 8 will premiere on HBO on April 14.
