Art Piece Imagines Jared Leto As Morbius The Living Vampire

Earlier this week, Sony announced that it had just cast Jared Leto as the lead star in its upcoming Spider-Man spinoff, Morbius: The Living Vampire.

The announcement came as a surprise to many. Not only is Leto still attached to play the Joker for Warner Brothers in the DC Extended Universe, but fans find it hard to imagine Leto playing the Spider-Man antihero.

Though the design could of course be far from what appears here, pop culture graphic designer BossLogic has given us an art piece imagining what the Suicide Squad star might look like as Morbius.

Check it out down here:

The graphic designer does put an interesting angle to his piece featuring Jared Leto as Morbius. Playing around with the concept, BossLogic presents Leto in a more gruesome light, giving the actor a better look than simply splashing on sunken eyes and giving the actor some Gothic coloring.

In the comics Morbius has a nightmarish look too, so it makes sense that the graphic designer would go for a grittier, more gruesome look for Leto. BossLogic's art also poses a good question on what kind of approach Sony would take for Morbius: The Living Vampire? Would they turn the film into a superhero-horror movie like Venom with its subtle hints of horror, or would it try to fit Morbius into a friendlier superhero flick?

Let's wait and see. Morbius: The Living Vampire doesn't have a release date just yet but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
