After eight epic seasons, Arrow has come to a close at the beginning of the year. As fans may well know, the show started a string of interconnected spinoffs on The CW, thus its whole slate of programing being named Arrowverse. However, the network is seemingly looking to rebrand the Arrowverse as CWverse but Arrow star Stephen Amell has other ideas.

Taking to Twitter, Amell has chimed in on the matter and simply posted the statement, "It's the Berlantiverse." Of course, this is a reference to Greg Berlanti, the producer of all the Arrowverse series, including The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning. Outside of CW, he was also part of developing DC Universe's Titans, Doom Patrol, and Stargirl.

Ever since Arrow concluded back in January, there have been speculations whether the Arrowverse name would stick. While the replies on Amell's tweet show mixed reactions about the name, Berlanti's influence is undeniable.

Though it would make sense to call it the Berlantiverse, the Arrowverse name shows that it gives credit to the series that started it all and highlights the series' legacy. For now, it's uncertain where the Arrowverse, CWVerse, or Berlantiverse goes from here, and it looks like only time will tell.
