Prior to the controversy surrounding The Flash stars Hartley Sawyer and Danielle Panabaker, another Arrowverse star has faced backlash regarding his comments about the protests and riots in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Earlier this month, Arrow star Stephen Amell released the latest episode of How'd You Do It? Some fans took issue of the points that the actor has brought up during the discussion, including admitting that racism isn't a systematic problem and that he isn't familiar with it because he hasn't personally "seen it in action."

The actor also said that police brutality has been "overshadowed" by gun violence, pointing out that it doesn't happen in Canada so it's "difficult" for him to wrap his head around in the idea of moving to the US.

Aside from the fans, one prominent accuser of Amell being a racist is Image Comics writer Tee Franklin, who claimed that the actor and his wife are racists and have been showing it "for quite a while now." You can check out some of the writer and the fans' thoughts on Amell's comments below:

Following the podcast's release, fans cited the video with Amell's comments as evidence of the actor being an outright racist.
