The Arrow series finale finally made its debut and along with an emotional goodbye and a few surprises, the last episode has also included an Easter egg for DC fans.

A scene from the final episode shows Roy Harper and Thea Queen on a rooftop where the two had a serious conversation. While the pair were talking, a huge billboard could be seen in the background with the words "Van Wayne" written on it. DC fans would surely recognize this as a reference to Vanessa Hudgens' NBC sitcom titled Powerless. Van Wayne is Bruce's younger cousin and he is also partly in charge of the Wayne Enterprises.

"When we have to cover something up or have a billboard or something, we've conditioned the art department to recognize it as an Easter egg opportunity," Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim told ComicBook. "And they'll contact us and say, 'Listen, we're putting up a billboard here. What Easter egg do you want to put in the billboard?' And we got that phone call, and by that point, I was done with Crisis and Easter egged-out."

"Just in terms of the amount of approvals, and everything else I need to do in order to get these Easter eggs in," Guggenheim added. He said he basically just "cried mercy" and called DC's Dan Evans to let him know about the Easter egg opportunity and asked him for a pitch. Guggenheim admits that everything Evans pitches is "already approved" and that he also thinks it was a great idea to put the reference in the show. "I love the show Powerless, and that was one of the shows that we couldn't get into the crossover," he continued, "So it was like, 'Great! Let's do that.'"

The nod to the NBC show was a nice touch and will surely be appreciated by fans who tuned in on Powerless.
