Arrow Season 7 Will Debut Oliver Queen's Classic Goatee

Say what you will about Arrow but the show has managed to last a long while and is going to have a seventh season. Even though the show's quality is inconsistent, it did make way for other programs like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. While those shows have had a consistent identity for better or worse, Arrow has often suffered from an identity crisis (ha!).

Recent years have managed to blend some of the darker elements with The Flash's lighter tone better than the earlier seasons and it looks like the seventh season will continue that trend. Lead actor Stephen Amell has recently confirmed that he will have Oliver Queen's signature goatee from the comics.

"Just because you've been polite, and just because everyone has been so nice to me today, I can break some news for you and let you know that in Season Seven I am going to debut the goatee. I can't promise that I'm going to keep [the goatee] forever. I can definitely promise that I'm not going to wear the stupid hat."

According to ComicBook.com, Amell told Motor City Comic-Con that he would be debuting the goatee. However, he did warn fans that it might not be a permanent fixture of the show, which would be a shame since the character just looks great with it. However, Amell did confirm that he would be wearing Oliver Queen's "stupid hat."

It will be interesting to see what leads to Oliver's new look, which is technically his old one if we're talking about comic book history. He did end up in jail at the last season, so it might indicate a time skip.
