Arkham Origins Developer Confirms Work on a New DC Game

It's been four years since Rocksteady ended their acclaimed Batman Arkham series with the excellent Batman: Arkham Knight and we're all still waiting for a new game featuring Batman. While Rocksteady might be done with the character, rumors have been swirling about Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Montreal working on a new Batman title, which reached an all-time high when one of the developers tweeted out a Court of Owls shirt, hinting at the next game.

While it's not yet known if Warner Bros. Montreal is really working on a new Batman title, it looks like the team really is working on a DC video game. Osama Dorias, who is a game designer for Warner Bros. Montreal, tweeted to a fan asking about an upcoming project and all he could say was that it's DC-related. That's definitely intriguing.

The answer would be that long-rumored Batman Arkham game, which a lot of fans thought would be called Batman: Arkham Insurgency. However, with little to no clues about that title even existing, this DC project could feature any superhero. There have been rumors of a big Suicide Squad and Superman game but nothing concrete has come from those reports.

Right now, Marvel is killing it with Marvel's Spider-Man and the recent release of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. There's also Marvel's Avengers, which has only gotten better from what fans have been saying. DC will need to step up and a new Batman Arkham game would be a big foot forward for them.

Batman: Arkham Knight is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Don't buy it on PC.
