Aquaman Star Dolph Lundgren Shares First Look at King Nereus' Return in The Lost Kingdom

We already know that Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is currently in production and we've even seen Jason Momoa in his new costume. Now, we're seeing more of the rest of the cast preparing for filming. For instance, Dolph Lundgren has shared the first look at King Nereus' return in the DC Extended Universe sequel.

It was already confirmed that most of the cast of the first film will be back in Aquaman 2. One of the cast members is Lundgren, who played a pretty important role in the 2018 movie and is once again expected to play a vital role in the sequel. So it's no surprise that the Expendables actor is already working on the second film.

Lundgren shared a new photo of himself on his official Instagram account along with an exciting caption. Check it out below.

"Hanging out in my trailer on Aquaman 2. Great script, great director, terrific cast and a fantastic crew. Really enjoying it!" he wrote.

It looks like Lundgren is preparing to suit up before filming a scene as King Nereus. Hopefully, we'll get to see him in costume soon.

Aquaman 2 will also bring back Patrick Wilson, who played Orm in the first movie. Interestingly, the former Ocean Master will look very different in the next film, as confirmed by director James Wan's previous Instagram post.

For now, it is unclear what the premise of The Lost Kingdom is going to be. However, there are speculations that the sequel will follow Arthur Curry on a quest to find the underwater city of Necrus. If this is so, we could meet interesting new characters in Aquaman 2.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will also star Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, Randall Park, Vincent Regan, Jani Zhao, Indiya Moore, and Pilou Asbaek. The film is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
