There's no doubt that 2022 has nailed the final blow on Aquaman actress Amber Heard's personal and professional life and after losing the multi-million defamation case her former husband Johnny Depp filed against her, the ever-so-controversial star began experiencing a downward spiral.

These days, the 36-year-old actress is living a low-profile life in Spain with her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige and her girlfriend Bianca Butti, away from the public eye. Now, in a shocking turn of events, Amber has apparently taken down her Twitter page for reasons still unclear.

Heard's final social media post came in early June, shortly after her defamation trial loss to Depp. Before hitting the pause button on her online activities, Amber shared her disappointment over the jury's verdict and vowed to appeal the decision. Meanwhile, Amber's Instagram page remains visible so it's definitely intriguing why she resorted to taking down her Twitter account.

Interestingly, the removal of Amber's Twitter page happened just days after Elon Musk stepped in as the social media platform's new owner. While we don't want to assume that it's related to Musk's Twitter takeover, it's worth noting that the business magnate has reportedly been involved in the actress' slew of controversies.

Meanwhile, Amber's career in the rebranded DC Universe still hangs in the balance but with the latest rumors claiming that she was excluded in the most recent round of reshoots for Aquaman 2, I think we can already safely say that she has no future in the franchise as James Gunn and Peter Safran ushers in a brand new era.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled for theatrical release on December 25, 2023.
