Aquaman 2 Begins Filming, Awesome Working Title Logo Revealed

It was only a matter of time before Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom would begin production. After all, director James Wan has been teasing about working on the highly anticipated sequel for weeks now. Luckily, the filmmaker has confirmed that the cast and crew have reunited to start filming. In addition to that, Wan shared an image that offers a glimpse at the DCEU movie's spoiler working title logo.

Wan had previously revealed Aquaman 2's official title on his Instagram account so it's no surprise that he shared another update confirming that the movie has begun production. Interestingly, the Conjuring director posted a photo of the film's clapperboard that features the logo for Aquaman 2's working title. Check it out below.

It was previously reported that Necrus will be the working title of the second Aquaman movie. We're loving it since it's an obvious teaser of which lost kingdom The Lost Kingdom will be about.

In the comics, Necrus is a fictional underwater city just like Atlantis. However, it is referred to as the Black City and has an interesting feature: it only appears briefly at a time and never shows up in the same location twice. Needless to say, this could explain the whole "Lost Kingdom" part of the title.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will bring back Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen as Black Manta. The sequel is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
