The Marvel Cinematic Universe's post-Avengers: Endgame agenda has been all about the emergence of the new guard. Among the characters given an upgraded role in the franchise is Sam Wilson who officially assumed Steve Rogers' position as Captain America during the start of Phase Four.

Sam's ascension as the new star-spangled man was chronicled via The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and for the most part, fans have been pretty pleased with the beloved character's new mission.

In the show's finale, Wilson finally donned his new costume created by the Wakandans and it's everything fans were hoping for and then some. However, it looks like Cap's new MCU look will be short-lived as set images from the fourth Captain America film reveal Sam is sporting yet another suit upgrade.

Instagram user @df_medias (via The Direct) uncovered leaked set photos from Captain America: New World Order offering a glimpse at Anthony Mackie's new suit. Predominantly blue in color, it almost looks like the one Chris Evans wore during his lengthy MCU tenure, except it has what looks to be a golden chest emblem.

Twitter insider @CanWeGetToast reports that the suit is actually a mash-up of Sam's Phase Four Falcon suit with Steve's Captain America colors. And no, it's not a stealth costume.

While the new suit actually looks pretty sleek, I can't help but echo the fans' sentiments because the first one already looked pretty solid. Not to mention, it's actually comic-accurate. The new one will take a lot of getting used to for sure but hopefully, it'll grow on people.

Captain America: New World Order is currently slated to premiere in theaters on May 3, 2024.
