Ant-Man has always been presented as a low-tier character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe throughout his tenure but finally, the pint-sized hero is being given a heftier role as the Multiverse Saga continues to take shape. In fact, the character, played by Paul Rudd since 2015 is ushering in the MCU's fifth phase via Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

The film marks the official arrival of the saga's big bad Kang the Conqueror and right off the bat, the multiversal villain has posed a huge threat to our heroes, so much so that it raised concerns over Scott's fate after Quantumania.

While Ant-Man is no slouch and arguably one of the smartest Avengers, it'll take more to actually outsmart Kang. This is why many fans are worried that he might die in the film. Now, Rudd is finally opening up about his future in the MCU.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, the MCU veteran addressed speculation surrounding his character's death in the third Ant-Man film. While he did tease that Scott will somehow survive Kang's wrath, saying "I think there's more story to tell here", the actor says that he's being kept in the dark regarding Avengers 5 and 6's details.

Rudd said: "They're having those conversations in rooms that I don't have keys to."

As it stands, it's still a little hard to tell whether or not Ant-Man will make it out alive following Quantumania and there's actually a good chance that he'll become Kang's first victim. Personally, I hope that's not the case because the next two Avengers films could definitely us his help. But yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hits cinemas on February 17, 2023.
