There's no denying that Michael Peña's character Luis has become an integral part of the Ant-Man franchise and while he doesn't exactly possess his own super abilities, he's proven time and time again that his goofy facade shouldn't be taken lightly and that he's a valuable asset to Scott Lang's team. Over the years, Luis has gained a huge following all thanks to his hilarious recap of the pint-sized hero's story in the MCU.

Of course, one would assume that being a fan-favorite character, Peña will automatically reprise his now-iconic role in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania. However, the actor is obviously sworn to secrecy much like his Marvel contemporaries, and when asked about Luis' next MCU appearance, Peña chose to play by the studio's rulebook.

Speaking with ComicBook's Brandon Davis while promoting his latest Paramount+ project Secret Headquarters, Peña played coy about his return and jokingly questioned why he's being constantly asked about it. He said: "I don't even know why people ask."

Judging by Michael's remarks, Luis' return in Ant-Man 3 almost seems like a guarantee but by the looks of things, he could be flying solo and operating X-Con on his own. It's worth mentioning that his co-stars Clifford T.I. Harris and David Dastmalchian aren't appearing in the sequel. T.I. faced accusations of sexual assault in 2021 while Dastmalchian claims that he didn't receive the call to return. Perhaps Luis will recruit new members to his security company.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will hit cinemas on February 17, 2023.
