Ant-Man And The Wasp Quantum Realm Theory Could Make Fantastic Four MCU Crossover Possible

Ant-Man and the Wasp has made it clear that the Quantum Realm can create superheroes. But did the sequel also make it possible for the Fantastic Four to crossover to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

In Ant-Man and the Wasp, it was revealed that Janet van Dyne's prolonged stay in the Quantum Realm imbued her with quantum energy. Janet was not the only one affected by the mysterious dimension. Ava Starr also gained superhuman abilities that allowed her to phase as Ghost after being exposed to the Quantum Realm. So will there be more superhumans created by the powerful dimension? ComicBook.com theorizes that Marvel could use the Quantum Realm to give the Fantastic Four a well-deserved reboot.

According to the theory, Marvel has the opportunity to ignore the Fantastic Four's two other film series and simply introduce the characters as scientists who were affected by the Quantum Realm. After all, the dimension had different effects on Janet and Ava. Quantum energy could easily create Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch.

It's a refreshing take on what could happen once Disney finalizes the merge with 20th Century Fox. However, it may take some time before the studio announces their plans for Fantastic Four. The merger could be finalized within the next year and new projects cannot be greenlighted until then.

Catch Ant-Man and the Wasp on IMAX along with the other 19 MCU films for Marvel Studios' 10th-anniversary event later in August.
