Anson Mount Teases His MCU Return in Upcoming Project

Years after starring in the failed Inhumans TV series, Anson Mount made his return as Black Bolt last year in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where he was one of the heroes that made a cameo appearance in the Illuminati sequence.

While the character quickly met his demise in the film, it still made fans want to see more of him in other projects, particularly in the main MCU timeline where he hasn't been formally introduced yet as part of the canon.

Will we see Black Bolt again in the MCU someday? Will Mount return to play the role? Now, we have the answer from the actor himself.

Anson Mount Addresses His Potential Return in the MCU

In an interview with Radio Times, Mount addressed his potential return to the MCU. While he didn't give a definitive response, he also revealed that he already had talks with Marvel Studios regarding the possibility of appearing in other projects.

"If the answer was yes, I wouldn't be able to tell you - but the answer is no, so I can. I've had some informal conversations with the powers [at] Marvel and it's a conversation, but they've got their current phase that they need to do," he said.

"I don't know, we'll see. I would love to jump back into the cowl and do it again. I love Black Bolt as a character."

This is an exciting comment to hear from Mount since it gives hope to fans who have been looking forward to seeing him continue playing Black Mount where it's in the main MCU or the other variants since the multiverse exists after all.

You can also tell that the actor loves playing the character even if the TV series itself was a failure. His cameo last year became a way for him to redeem even for just a brief moment and it gave us one of the film's memorable moments.

Let's wait and see for now whether Mount's return to the MCU will actually come to fruition. Considering that we're in the Multiverse Saga, the possibility is certainly endless. Right now, Mount is busy exploring the galaxy and discovering strange new worlds.
