Angela Bassett Pays Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

As Bassett received her second Golden Globe, she paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman in her acceptance speech.

“Weeping, weeping may come in the evening, but joy comes in the morning,” she said, via BuzzFeed News. “We are inspired by the light of Chadwick Boseman.”

She believed her former co-actor’s legacy led to the success of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Sadly, Boseman died in August 2020 due to colon cancer. He was 43.
