Andy Serkis Wants to Work on Venom 3

We already know that there is going to be a third Venom film. But the big question is, who will work on the highly anticipated sequel? Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis has admitted that he is hoping to return for the third installment in the film trilogy.

It's no secret that Sony Pictures will be releasing three Venom films. Tom Hardy has confirmed that he signed on for a three-picture deal with the studio and this was before the success of the first two movies. With that in mind, Hardy is expected to be back for Venom 3.

But who will direct the third Venom film? Andy Serkis certainly hopes it would be himself. The Lord of the Rings star recently spoke to Metro about his upcoming projects where he was asked if he would be interested in helping Venom 3.

"I mean, yeah, of course. It's such a wonderful world to play in," Serkis said. He then pointed out that although a third Venom film has not yet been confirmed, he believes it is happening soon.

"I'm sure there will be [more], I'm sure there will be. Well, hopefully…. I don't want to count our chickens. But yeah, of course. It was such a fun world to play in," Serkis said.

Serkis certainly did a great job on Let There Be Carnage and we're sure that Sony Pictures would agree. However, it is also important to point out that Venom 3 has not yet been greenlighted. Although we believe it is going to happen, it would still be best to wait for an official confirmation. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is now available on digital. The film's DVD and Blu-ray will be released on December 14, 2021.
