Andrew Garfield is convinced that the webslinging superhero Spider-Man will never lose its appeal to the audience. Garfield played the titular character after Tobey Maguire. His stint was not as successful. Tom Holland took over the role after he starred in two films.

In a recent interview, Garfield was asked about the continuous films about Peter Parker and he had no issues about it.

Andrew Garfield vouches for Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield recently appeared on SiriusXM. During his interview, host Any Cohen confronted him about Spider-Man fatigue because he felt that there were already too many Spider-Man movies. However, he didn't agree with Cohen and insisted that Spider-Man would never lose its appeal.

"I'm afraid I can't co-sign that one with you. It's like Hamlet, like you can never get enough Hamlets or Macbeths … I will vouch for the character for a second in the sense that it's the only superhero where he's covered head to toe," Garfield said as quoted by CinemaBlend.

"You don't see skin color, you don't see sexual orientation, you don't see any of those things. Everyone can project themselves into the suit, and I think that's why he's probably the most beloved superhero universally, throughout every culture, throughout every race. … Yeah, I think so. I really do think so. And there's also an ordinariness to Peter Parker that everyone can project themselves into as well."

Garfield supports Tom Holland as the next Spidey

After Garfield explained that anyone can wear the costume and become Spider-Man, he shared his thoughts about Tom Holland playing the titular character. For him, when his tenure ended and Holland's tenure started, he was "very happy and very excited."

He confirmed that Spider-Man was his first Halloween costume when he was 3 years old. His mom made the costume for him out of felt and it was beautiful. So, he understood the "hunger" for it.

Garfield addressed the same matter about Holland taking over the role from him when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the same interview, he said he was excited for Holland.

"I have and I'm excited and I think that Tom Holland is just the perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man so I'm just super stoked [about Spider-Man: No Way Home]," he said.

Garfield was let go by Sonny after two movies. First, because The Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn't do well at the box office. Second, he failed to appear at an event in Rio de Janeiro where The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was supposed to be announced for a 2016 release.
