Amy Adams Thinks She's Done Playing Lois Lane for Now

Amy Adams had been introduced as fearless reporter Lois Lane in the DCEU's Man of Steel, but after the bomb that was Justice League, there's no future in sight for the next Superman movie. For now, Adams herself seems to think that her days playing the Daily Planet's most famous reporter are behind her.

Talking to Variety's Actors on Actors, Adams explained, "I think I'm out of the DC Universe now… I think they're revamping that. I don't know the details."

For now there have only been loose rumors of the DCEU revamping itself, but by the way it looks it seems that they're just forgetting what happened in the past and focusing on what they can bring in the future. After a success like Aquaman, it seems like the wrong move to suddenly try and remake everything all over again.

When it comes to Adams reprising her role, it just looks like WB has put any plans of a Superman sequel in the backburner for now. News had come out earlier this year that Cavill was already out of the role having signed on to do The Witcher for Netflix; but it seems that a more accurate report would be that there are no plans to bring Superman to the big screen soon so Cavill just decided to work on another project as WB makes their mind up about Superman. It's not like he got fired or left the franchise officially. The same could be said for Adams.

We don't know when Superman is coming back, but Aquaman is getting his own adventure coming Dec. 21.
