AMC Preparing Epic 59-Hour Marvel Marathon In Preparation For Avengers: Endgame

There's a reason why Avengers: Endgame is one of Marvel's most highly anticipated film of the year. Not only will the film conclude Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie, but it's also going to serve as the culmination of the last ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Seeing how important the film is, we understand why fans would want to prepare for Endgame's release. However, while some fans would simply want to review the last few films in the MCU like Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame, others are planning to marathon all of the different entries in the franchise.

Catering to fans looking to review all of the MCU's different offerings, AMC plans (via Newsrama) to hold a 22-movie marathon covering all of the franchise's different films from Iron Man (2008) to last month's Captain Marvel. Fans who're going to join the marathon from start to finish are going to have to set aside 50 hours and seven minutes of their time – that's about two and a half days of watching Marvel movies.

This new development barely comes as a surprise. AMC held a 31-hour movie marathon last year, right before the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Now the theater chain is at it again, this time in preparation for Endgame.

The marathon begins on Tuesday, April 23, and the continue through the week into Thursday with a screening of Endgame at 5pm – one hour before other public screenings of the highly anticipated film.

Endgame is going to be a challenge to watch in itself as well – the film is reportedly three hours long.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
