I think we've proven over the last couple of months that a lot of fans are hell-bent on having Amber Heard removed from the Aquaman sequel and they almost got their wish (well, sort of) when new rumors circulated over the weekend that the ever-so-controversial actress has actually been fired by Warner Bros. Pictures ahead of Aquaman 2's upcoming filming.

Several sites reported that the reason behind Amber's firing has something to do with the star's alleged drug use. Although that claim has yet to be proven, people are well-aware of the star's personal issues with ex-husband Johnny Depp and their messy legal battle has yet to be resolved.

We hate to break it to you though as the rumors surrounding Heard's ousting from the DC Extended Universe aren't true. According to The Hollywood Reporter's Senior Staff Writer Ryan Parker, a reliable source told him that the reports are inaccurate and as it stands, Amber is still scheduled to reprise her role in the sequel.

Parker tweeted: "Told by a reliable source that reports of Amber Heard being fired off 'Aquaman 2' are inaccurate." Check it out here:

Last November, Heard excitingly confirmed that she'll be returning for Aquaman 2 and even slammed the online petition calling for her firing. It'll be interesting to see if the growing backlash towards the actress will affect WB's decision of keeping her in the film and future DCEU projects but by the looks of things, Amber isn't going anywhere and there's really nothing fans can do about it.

Aquaman 2 is set to begin filming this summer.
