Vibranium is currently still the strongest metal in the MCU.

Although this isn’t the only durable metal in the Marvel Universe as a whole, Vibranium has always been incorporated into the weaponry and armor that our favorite heroes (and villains) make use of.

Here’s a complete list of every Vibranium-made weapon that debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far:

Captain America’s Shield/s

Who could forget one of the earliest Vibranium-made inventions was none other than Captain America’s shield?

It was initially a part of his uniform as the mascot for Captain America, way before he even used it in combat.

Howard Stark, Tony’s father, crafted the shield himself, all the while stating that it’s made out of Vibranium, defining it as ‘the strongest metal on Earth.’

While the shield has undergone plenty of scratches in his past battles, the only time the shield ever broke was in Avengers: Endgame, when Thanos managed to break it in half.

When Cap traveled back in time, he returned a different-looking shield to pass on the mantle to Falcon, though it remains unclear who made this version of the iconic Cap shield.

Ultron

Tony Stark and Bruce Banner had been cooking up a plan to improve the security on Earth, and that resulted in Ultron being born in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Though made with great intention, the fact that Ultron’s Artificial Intelligence quickly evolved into chaos was what threatened the lives the two geniuses aimed to protect.

At first, Ultron occupied a giant metal body to temporarily walk in, only to later acquire some Vibranium to build a stronger body for himself which would become the Ultron we know.

It wasn’t until the Scarlet Witch conveniently found him in a vulnerable state that she ripped out a part of his mechanics that controlled his functions in the first place.

Vision

Vision was initially designed to be Tony Stark’s AI assistant until he eventually joined the MCU in his own physical form in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Vision’s Vibranium-made suit was what led Ultron to conjure up his own physical form with the use of the Regeneration Cradle that built Vision initially.

Considering that Vision also possesses the Mind Stone, his Vibranium build is not the only thing that keeps him as one of the most powerful beings in the MCU.

Everything in Wakanda

Pretty much a no-brainer seeing as Vibranium originated from Wakanda when a strange meteor crashlanded on Earth, improving the economy of the grounds Wakanda was built on.

With its foundation strongly rooted in Vibranium materials, this also allowed Wakanda to become the most technologically advanced nation in the world, leading them to build cities and mine more Vibranium for their further use and advancement on Earth.

Of course, this would also apply to their weaponry and Black Panther’s suits.

Let’s not forget that the electric barrier that protected the Avengers from Thanos and his army came from Wakanda’s land, with the gadgets, spears, armor, and Black Panther’s suits included on the list.

Black Panther’s suits, after all, could absorb any kind of attack it receives, thanks to the benefit of being crafted with Vibranium.

Klaue’s Arm

Another Vibranium-made invention you may have overlooked is Ulysses Klaue’s arm.

When he lost his arm to the weapons dealer in Avengers: Age of Ultron, his character showed up in Black Panther, showing off Klaue had had his arm fixed with Vibranium material.

However, don’t be fooled by its normal-looking arm, as it could open up a canon at will.

The metal arm Bucky Barnes has had since he became a Super Soldier has always been Vibranium, thanks to Hydra, which makes him an even more formidable opponent in the MCU.

And though he lost this arm to Iron Man during their fight in Avengers: Civil War, Bucky earned a new Vibranium arm from Wakanda with more high-tech features that helped him just in time for battle in Avengers: Infinity War.

One of the perks of taking the mantle from Captain America is getting to use more of his gadgetry and Vibranium-made shield.

As the ‘new’ Cap, Sam Wilson’s Falcon suit was crafted by the Wakandans to match his title.

Although The Falcon and the Winter Soldier didn’t reveal too much detail about who created his Vibranium suit, it gave him additional abilities in keeping up with the hero gig apart from flying with his inventions.
