Fans have long been waiting for Grand Admiral Thrawn's arrival to the live-action Star Wars Universe via the standalone Ahsoka series and three years after it was first teased in The Mandalorian's second season, the notorious villain is ready to unleash chaos in the MandoVerse.

With less than a month before the anticipated show's release, key details about Ahsoka's explosive ending have already surfaced online and it already sounds better than the entirety of The Mandalorian Season 3.

According to a new scoop from MakingStarWars, the show will pretty much revolve around Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren rescuing Ezra Bridger who is missing in an unknown location outside the galaxy.

The said location is also the place where Thrawn has been residing all this time and it's up to Ahsoka and Sabine to put a stop to the villain's plans to re-enter the galaxy. Turns out, our heroes will fail their mission and it allows Thrawn to wreak havoc in the galaxy once more.

The closing sequence of the eighth and final episode reportedly sees Thrawn relishing his jaw-dropping comeback and promising that a reckoning is coming.

It looks like the Ahsoka series will be the one to set the stage for the upcoming MandoVerse film. Of course, it sounds fitting, especially considering the project is also helmed by Dave Filoni.

It's also worth noting that there have been persistent rumors about the film being a loose adaptation of Heir to the Empire so Thrawn one-upping our heroes in the Ahsoka finale makes absolute sense.

Ahsoka is hitting Disney+ on August 23rd.
