We're less than a month away from the release of Star Wars' next MandoVerse series, Ahsoka and the hype surrounding the Rosario Dawson-led show is starting to grow exponentially.

So far, very little is known about the show's main plot but with Ahsoka rumored to be an extension of Star Wars Rebels, a key feature from the beloved animated series is said to influence the project's storytelling leading up to the MandoVerse film.

According to a report from Giant Freakin Robot, the upcoming MandoVerse series is set to take a page out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's playbook and incorporate the multiverse concept into the franchise's storytelling.

The outlet's trusted sources claim that "The World Between Worlds", first seen in Star Wars Rebels will play a massive factor in Ahsoka. For the uninitiated, the concept is a gateway for the exploration of multiple "what if" scenarios and would also reveal alternate realities and outcomes.

The report also adds that "The World Between Worlds" will facilitate Hayden Christensen's cameo in the show. But as exciting as that sounds, it's still best to. temper our expectations and take every rumor with a huge grain of salt until the series' arrival.

The multiverse concept opens a ton of possibilities for Star Wars but at the end of the day, it still depends on how Dave Filoni utilizes it. Hopefully, if the rumors end up being true, Lucasfilm will actually succeed in it because let's face it, it's been a hit-or-miss situation with the MCU.

I gotta say though, the concept is already getting too overplayed and if I had things my way, I'd much rather see the MandoVerse do its thing without multiversal shenanigans coming into play.

Ahsoka is set to hit Disney+ on August 23rd.
