The MandoVerse has already begun its expansion this year with The Book of Boba Fett and despite the show generating mixed reception from the Star Wars fandom, Lucasfilm is still determined to build a universe that will attempt to create a mega-crossover, a first in Star Wars history.

Apart from The Mandalorian's forthcoming third season, 2023 will mark the respective premieres of two more MandoVerse shows — Skeleton Crew and Ahsoka. Speaking of the Rosario Dawson-led project, rumor has it that it will serve as a continuation of the beloved Star Wars Rebels series. Not only that but the show is also said to cover the events of the Clone Wars era.

According to a report from Making Star Wars, the anticipated spinoff series will include flashback sequences featuring a younger Ahsoka. Instead of relying on the de-aging technology that Lucasfilm has utilized on multiple occasions, the show's young Ahsoka Tano will reportedly be played by a different actress.

It remains unclear though if Ashley Eckstein will actually voice the character. The outlet also clarifies that Rosario will still play Ahsoka for the majority of the series and the said Clone Wars scenes will just be glimpses of the past.

The identity of the actress who plays young Ahsoka has not been disclosed but interestingly, a similar report already circulated online last October. In fact, a video posted by Star Wars Meg claims that House of the Dragon breakout star Savannah Steyn will play the part. I guess we'll just have to wait for the official announcement but as it stands, it looks like Ahsoka is guaranteed to please a lot of fans of the animated universe.

Ahsoka's official release window has not been announced but the series is expected to premiere next year.
