Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Star May Have Just Confirmed Loki Season 2

While fans are excited for WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we all know that Loki is the MCU Disney+ series everyone is waiting for. The character has been incredibly popular since appearing in The Avengers and is constantly a must-see part of every MCU film he's in. Though the Loki we know died in Infinity War, another version managed to escape with an Infinity Stone during Endgame, which basically gave birth to the upcoming Disney+ series.

As if one season of this beloved character isn't enough, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg, who plays Phil Coulson, may have just revealed that Loki Season 2 is already in the works during an interview with Variety. While the series will run for six episodes, Gregg revealed that Loki star Tom Hiddleston revealed even more episodes for the show.

"I'd be lying if I didn't say boy, that would really be interesting to start the experiment over. Doing 10 episodes or 12 episodes the way Tom Hiddleston told me he was doing [on Loki] with that kind of budget and that Marvel Cinematic production team."

Considering how popular the character is, we wouldn't be too surprised if the show lasted for two to three seasons. Unless they have plans to bring the character back for more movies, this looks to be a nice home for the God of Mischief. They just have to be careful with how they use the character so he doesn't feel exploited like Darth Maul.

Loki is expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2021. Loki Season 2 has not been confirmed yet.
