James Franco was once one of the most celebrated stars in Hollywood but his personal issues have derailed all the momentum he has going on. The actor, who rose to prominence via Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy has been keeping a low profile for a number of years now, all thanks to a 2018 sexual misconduct accusation that has been haunting him since.

For the uninitiated, several women from Franco's acting school publicly came out to accuse the star of sexual misbehavior. Through the years, Franco has tried his best to not only dodge the controversy but maintain his innocence. Now, in a shocking turn of events, the Harry Osborn actor is finally coming clean.

In a tell-all exclusive interview with SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle, Franco shockingly confessed that he indeed slept with some of his students. He also revealed that he's been struggling with sex addiction although he didn't exactly go into detail regarding that subject. He said: "Look, I’ll admit I did sleep with students. I didn’t sleep with anybody in [my ‘Sex Scenes’ class], but, over the course of my teaching, I did sleep with students and that was wrong."

"But like I said, I, it’s not why I started the school and I, I didn’t, I wasn’t the person that selected the people to be in the class. So it wasn’t a master plan on my part. But yes, there were certain instances where, you know what I was in a consensual thing with, with a student and I shouldn’t have been."

Unsurprisingly, Franco has once again made headlines following his admission which comes almost four years after the allegations were made. However, instead of his actions earning praise from fans, his revelation only made people despise him more and it's safe to say that his Hollywood career is dead in the water. Honestly, I don't think he'll be able to regain his good reputation and image in Tinseltown which is a complete shame.

Meanwhile, James Franco's Spider-Man co-stars Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
