Adult Swim Has Ordered 70 Episodes of Rick and Morty

When it was announced that Rick and Morty hadn't been renewed for a fourth season, fans were surprised. The series has been ridiculously popular since its very first episode so the fact that it was limbo made plenty of people worry. Looks like it was all for not, as Adult Swim has now ordered 70 episodes of the series. Dan Harmon was right.

Co-creator Justin Rolan shared an image of the popular duo on Twitter, with Rick telling Morty that Adult Swim has ordered 70 episodes. Dan Harmon later posted on Instagram about having to get back to work, obviously done in a joking manner since he was pretty positive about the series getting a fourth season, let alone six more after.

Just to be clear, we aren't getting a 70-episode fourth season. The announcement likely means that the series has been renewed for seven seasons, which is pretty intense. Either way, fans should be happy that we will be getting more Rick and Morty in the future as if there was any doubt.

Now all fans have to do is wait. The show takes a notoriously long time to make before any content comes out, though it isn't Hunter X Hunter bad. In the meantime, fans can rewatch the first three seasons on Adult Swim or Netflix in some countries.
