ABC Reportedly Still Wants To Keep Featuring Marvel Shows

Things at Marvel TV might seem a little shaky now that Jeph Loeb is heading out the door with Kevin Feige assuming creative control as Marvel's new Chief Creative Officer, but it looks like one network is hoping to keep airing shows from the studio.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney-owned network ABC "remains committed" to host Marvel shows from Marvel TV despite the sudden change in leadership. This shouldn't really come as a surprise, because ABC is still currently developing a series that it had teased back in August – previous reports at the time described the project as a female-led show that would feature "something new, mostly."

Of course, this is still pretty interesting news. ABC should probably be planning to wind down with its Marvel shows now that Disney is preparing to launch its upcoming streaming site, Disney+. Right now, Marvel Studios is preparing a number of series for the platform, including Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Wanda Vision, Hawkeye, Loki, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.

We've yet to see the impact that the changes that Marvel's undertaking ( Loeb leaving Marvel TV and Feige taking charge as Marvel's Chief Creative Officer) is going to have on the current projects of the company. Will Marvel TV have a taste of the success that Feige's brought to Marvel Studios? Will we be getting more Marvel series outside of what's being prepared for Disney+?

We've yet to wait and see.

Disney+ launches on November 12, 2019.
