A Giant Statue of a Half-Naked Jeff Goldblum has Popped Up in London

Jurassic Park celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year, and some people thought that they should celebrate the film with a literal giant statue of a shirtless Ian Malcolm/Jeff Goldblum. Apparently, it just popped up in London, right by the banks of the River Thames.

Check it out:

According to Entertainment Weekly, the statue is a publicity stunt set up by Now TV, and it will be up there until July 26. If you're not familiar with Goldblum's shirtless scene, it's a well-known internet meme, and has often been used to poke fun at Goldblum himself—then again, almost everything Goldblum does drives his following on the net.

With Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom coming out last month, it was kind of amazing how they were able to get Jeff Goldblum back to reprise his role of Ian Malcolm. Sure his role wasn't the biggest one in the film, but Malcolm was the bookend of the entire film, bringing us into the main theme of the film which was a literal ‘Jurassic World'.

We don't know when we'll see Ian Malcolm onscreen again, but hopefully we also get some other veterans in Jurassic World 3 like Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) or Alan Grant (Sam Neill).

Jurassic World 3 is slated for a release on June 11, 2021.
