5 Kamigawa Shrines Are Back in Magic: The Gathering Arena Historic Anthology 3

Historic Anthology 3, the latest set of 27 Historic-legal Magic: The Gathering cards, is coming with the game's upcoming May 21 update, and Wizards of the Coast and select MTG content creators are sharing official previews of the cards starting today.

Today, streamer CovertGoBlue has revealed that the five Shrine cards from the Champions of Kamigawa set, including "Honden of Cleansing Fire", "Honden of Infinite Rage", "Honden of Life's Web", "Honden of Night's Reach", and "Honden of Seeing Winds". Check out the cards:

These Shrines will most likely see play in Enchantment-heavy combo brews in the Historic format. Could the return of the Shrines hint the return to the Japanese-inspired plane of Kamigawa?

Wizards already confirmed "Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger" and "Phyrexian Obliterator" will be part of Historic Anthology 3, and today, Merchant also confirmed that a cycle of five Flashback cards will return in the digital package.

All the Historic Anthology 3 cards will be revealed similar to spoiler seasons of other Magic sets.

The April update will also bring Permanent Historic ranked queues, Historic Cube Draft between players, and new Festival events to obtain the Showcase card styles. "Drannith Magistrate" will also be banned in Brawl.

The Historic Anthology 3 will be released with the May 21 Magic: The Gathering Arena update.
